A favorite British dessert. Positively Dickensian but actually created in the 1970's, this date based sponge is served warm or or not, with a rich toffee sauce and vanilla ice cream or whipped cream (or both!) Comes in an 8X8 foil pan with the first sauce poured on while still warm out of the oven. Additional toffee sauce is included foe warming and pouring over the individual servings. Serves 8-12.
